ADA-UK Statement on Jabbar Savalan's release

ADA-UK welcomes the release of Jabbar Savalan on 26 December 2011 through a presidential pardon signed by President Ilham Aliyev. However, ADA-UK remains concerned about the continued imprisonment of 16 prisoners of conscience.
It now appears that Ms Zatuliveter was indeed paid by TEAS and was involved in “lobbying and consultancy” work on behalf of TEAS. It is of extreme concern that she was involved in lobbying on the Karabakh issue.

Statement by ADA-UK on Mike Hancock MP and TEAS

ADA-UK expresses its deep concern over continuing scandals around Mike Hancock MP and his involvement in Azerbaijan-related issues. We note the reports in the media regarding Mr Hancock’s relationship with The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) and the latest revelation that Mr Hancock solicited payment from TEAS on behalf of his aide, Katerina Zatuliveter, who stands accused of espionage and is facing deportation from the UK
It now appears that Ms Zatuliveter was indeed paid by TEAS and was involved in “lobbying and consultancy” work on behalf of TEAS. It is of extreme concern that she was involved in lobbying on the Karabakh issue.
